Gardiner "Beau" Rapelye III has dedicated his life to the study and pursuit of the perfect image. Inspired by his grandfather’s love of photography and anything with gears, he positions himself behind the lens to capture life the way he sees it – one frame at a time.
He began his formal training in Southern California in the Marine Technologies Department at Santa Barbara City College. After acquiring his gills, Beau was accepted into Brooks Institute of Photography. He received accolades during his education and opted to leave the classroom to pursue underwater photography and videography, earning credits on shows for BBC and Discovery Channel.
As a Midwesterner, Beau has planted roots in his hometown of Kansas City. Beau, his wife, and 2 boys live in Overland Park and spend each day seeking outdoor adventures from hiking and biking to surfing and diving when the occasion arises.
